ARANSAS PASS - Witnesses say they heard an argument inside a trailer at the Shamrock Trailer Park on the 900 block of North Commercial. That's when they knew something wasn't right.

Police got the call just after midnight that they needed to head to the trailer park. But when they got there, it was too late.

Officers found 60 year old Alfred Garza dead on the floor of the trailer.

According to wtinesses Garza and the suspect, 46 year old Jose Roland Oronigo got into an arguement, that turned violent. That's when, according to police, Oronigo pulled out a knife and stabbed both Garza and a female victim, who police have not identified.

According to neighbors the female victim ran to a nearby trailer, banged on their door, and screamed at them to call police. The owner said she sounded scared, so he called police right away.

According to police drugs may have been a reason this fight started.

While neighbors say they heard arguing from the trailer, they didn't think much of it because Garza was a really peacful guy.

Amber Young lives right across from Garza and says, "I don't really talk to him, but he is a really nice guy. Really quiet. He would sit outside. Really didn't bother anyone, really sweet."

Police were able to catch the suspect not far from the crime scene. Oronigo also had some nne life threatening wounds.

Even though Oronigo is in custody, neighbors still don't feel safe at Shamrock.

Martha Galvan lives a few trailers down and says, "It's scary because it's too close to home. I'm thinking about moving."

Young added, "I don't even want to be here. I feel in danger around here. I'd like to move out of here as quickly as possible. I can't have that around my son."

Police tel us Oronigo faces murder charges and is being held on a $500,000 bond.

The investigation is still ongoing and more charges could be added.
