Last 2 Of 4 Teen Inmates Captured After Escape

KILLEEN - Authorities say they've captured the last two of the four teenage offenders who escaped a Central Texas detention center.

Killeen police say officers saw the 16- and 17-year-old boys walking Wednesday afternoon and captured them after a short chase.

The other two boys, ages 15 and 16, were captured about five hours after all four escaped Saturday from the Bell County Juvenile Detention Center in Killeen. Authorities say they kicked open an exterior door from the recreational area and ran.

The 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds will be charged with escape from custody. The Bell County District Attorney's Office is charging the 17-year-old with escape and will transfer him to the county jail after his arraignment Thursday.

Authorities haven't said what crimes the teens were accused of committing before being detained.
