Large Amounts of Drugs, Grenade Found in Aransas Pass Bust

ARANSAS PASS- The Aransas Pass Police Chief calls it the largest drug bust in recent history, but it all stopped when officers found a grenade.

It happened Friday night on 11th Street.
It was there that officers arrested suspected drug dealer Rafael Villalobos and his girlfriend Veronica Olivarez.

While searching the home, they found meth, cocaine, heroin and other drugs, as well as several thousand dollars in cash.
But they had to pause their search when they came across a grenade.
The Corpus Christi bomb squad was called to remove and destroy it.

Villalobos and Olivarez are each charged with possession of a controlled substance.
