CORPUS CHRISTI - Today, KRIS Communications filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission in Washington DC.

In order to protect local viewers from continued disruption, KRIS has asked the FCC to find that Time Warner has negotiated in bad faith with KRIS Communications in its attempts to reach a new agreement to carry our 4 stations.

The filing urges the FCC to order Time Warner to return to the negotiating table and negotiate in good faith to bring these stations back to the viewers of Corpus Christi.

KRIS President and General Manager, Tim Noble says, "It is disappointing and insulting to have waited 19 days for a proposal that Time Warner knew would be unacceptable to us on several key points. Their latest offer, rather than bringing us together, has driven us farther apart. I appreciate the ongoing frustration of our viewers."

It is highly unlikely that there will be an agreement in time for the Super Bowl to be seen by Time Warner customers on Time Warner Cable Television. The demand on other cable and satellite providers is high, with a 2-3 week wait for new installations. We continue to recommend that if 6 News, The Super Bowl, NBC, CW, Telemundo and KDF are important to you, now is the time to switch providers. Everyone can watch us for free over the air with a VHF antenna.
