KINGSVILLE, Texas - The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's track and field head coach Ryan Dall announced the signing of pole vaulter Alexis Williams of Yoakum to a National Letter of Intent on Friday.

Williams is one of the top vaulters in the region with a personal-best of 11'6".

"I think Alexis can come in and have a positive impact immediately for our women's team," said Dall. "She will help us not only on the conference level but on the national level. She really loves vaulting and will fit in well with the group of vaulters we already have."

The Javelina track and field team is off until the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships in Lubbock Feb. 23-24 at Texas Tech's Athletic Training Center.
