King is Eager for Rematch with Smithson Valley

CORPUS CHRISTI - Revenge is best served in the playoffs, because a win then and you not only defeat a team but you end their season, that's what King is thinking as they ready for their three game series with Smithson Valley.

"Game plan the second time is come out better than the first time come out wanting to win and doing whatever it takes to be on top," said Pitcher EJ Alejandre, who still remembers the whipping King took the first time these two played.

Game one is on the road, while Game two is at Cabaniss Field on Saturday. But the Mustangs aren't worried about where they play instead how they play.

"They were an average team and there is no excuse for why we lost we should have won that game," said Infielder Jonathan Contreras.

In their Bi-District win they left nine runners on base, that's something that can't happen against a talented opponent like Smithson Valley.

"It's do or die every team is in the same position we all want a spot in the state tournament and you have to play hard every single game," said Outfielder Todd Wilkinson.
