PHOENIX (KPNX) - Hundreds of Phoenix police officers stood in for a fellow fallen officer when they attended his daughter's kindergartner's graduation on Wednesday.
Cheers replaced tears as a bright blue wall of officers honored one of their own by standing up for his little princess.
All the officers were there to support a 6-year-old little girl, Tatum Raetz.
On Sunday her dad, Officer Daryl Raetz, was killed in the line of duty.
"He was a very good friend. I wish he was here see her. I hope to do him proud," said fellow officer Sara Garza.
Tatum was given flowers and a teddy bear, her mom Stephanie a warm embrace. Daryl was supposed to be there, but instead Tatum had an entire family of dads and a few extra moms.
