CORPUS CHRISTI - While you're out holiday shopping, thieves are doing some window browsing of their own, looking for easy to stuff to steal from parking lots.
On Wednesday afternoon, a woman told police she left her keys on the seat of her unlocked Lincoln Navigator while shopping at the Walmart in Calallen.
The woman told police she was only in the store for 15 minutes. Police have not found the Lincoln.
A couple hours later a woman told police someone stole her Nissan Sentra from the parking lot of Tuloso-Midway High School. According to police, she claims her son drove the car to school and lost the key. So she stopped by to bring him the spare key, but found the car was gone.
Another woman who wasn't shopping lost some valuables from her car. Someone broke into her car parked at an apartment complex on Patti Drive. She reported the thief got away with her purse, a pistol, and ammunition. The investigating officer found no evidence of forced entry to the car.
