Judge Issues Gag Order in Macareno Case

Gag Order Issued in Macareno Case - KZTV

KINGSVILLE - Kingsville ISD board member Rudy Macareno has been released on bond as he faces charges of indecency with a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The 41-year-old businessman surrendered to police last night. A Kleberg County grand jury indicted him last week.

We don't know any details about the charges because a judge has slapped a gag order on the case. Officials have asked for an opinion from the Texas Attorney General's office on exactly what the gag order can cover.

Meanwhile the Kingsville school board will hold a special called meeting Thursday to discuss Macareno's status on the board.
