CORPUS CHRISTI - A judge has dismissed the lawsuit the city filed against the fire union several months ago.
In that lawsuit, the city claimed the union violated the collective bargaining agreement between the two parties, citing billboards and social media postings related to the union's "Be a Hero" campaign.
The union argues their actions were protected by free speech.
The lawsuit was filed after negotiations between the two parties stopped on May 21st.
The city says it plans to file an appeal.
