Judge Arrested for Driving While Intoxicated

MCALLEN - Judge Nora Longoria was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated early Saturday morning.

McAllen police pulled her over for a traffic violation around 1am. Officers determined the justice for the 13th Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 2 appeared intoxicated so she was taken to jail.

Longoria got out on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond about 9 hours later.

The judge is a resident of Edinburg. She was elected to the court of appeals in 2012.
