ROCKPORT - Aransas County Court At Law Judge William Adams is back on the bench today in Rockport. Adams suspension from the bench was recently lifted by the Texas Supreme Court following a review by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct for allegations of misconduct.

The Commission issued a public warning to Judge Adams, but took no further action. He first came into the spotlight in November 2011 when his now adult daughter posted a 7 year old video online that showed Adams and his wife disciplining her with a belt while using foul language.

As part of his duties, Adams oversaw family court matters. For now, Adams will no longer deal with cases involving violence with children.

The majority of citizens who left his courtroom this morning had nothing negative to say about Judge Adams.
