CORPUS CHRISTI - Economist are estimating the oil boom locally is going to continue to have a positive effect on jobs for the next five to 10 years.

According to Dr. Ray Perryman, Corpus Christi could see job growth at or up the state average for the next several years.

He says the area is a seeing a Renaissance or rebirth due to the oil boom at Eagle Ford Shale and that is causing places like Flint Hill Resources to expand to be able to handle all the resources coming in.
