CORPUS CHRISTI - Over 80 customers were without power last night after high winds knocked two power poles out over the JFK Causeway. It left the Causeway in the dark.
Two poles snapped under the wind and the lights went out. Officers closed down the westbound lane of the Causeway around 11:00 last night. Those leaving the island were asked to take the ferry back into town. The power was out until 1:30 this morning.
