KINGSVILLE, Texas - The Texas A&M-Kingsville baseball team has been selected to host the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Thursday through next Sunday the selection committee for the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship announced on Sunday.
The Javelinas, who last Monday won the Lone Star Conference Championship in Canyon with a 10-7 win over Angelo State, are the top seed in the region. Joining Kingsville in the 6-team field is No. 2 seed Colorado Mesa and No. 6-seed Colorado State-Pueblo out of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and third-seed St. Edward's and No. 5-seed St. Mary's out of the Heartland Conference. Fellow LSC member Angelo State - the fourth seed - rounds out the field.
The tournament begins on Thursday with three games and continues through Sunday when the champion will be decided. The winner of the South Central Region will join the other seven regional champs in Cary, N.C. for the Division II Baseball World series.

An all-session pass will be available in advance for $40 by credit card only. The all-session pass will be on the opening day only at the main gate as well. Single-day passes will be $15, while students with a valid ID and children 3-and-above will admitted for $10 a day. Children 2-and-under will be admitted free. There will be no pass list available. The gates will open an hour before the opening game each day. No outside food or drinks will be permitted.
