KINGSVILLE - The Javelinas football team has fallen to 17th in the National Division 2 Coaches Poll, its lowest rating since early September following their second loss in the last three games.
However, that's not the number they're worried about. The Hogs dropped from fifth, to number eight in the newest regional rankings, released Monday. The Hogs gave up 37 unanswered points to Abilene Christian on the way to a 47-35 road loss on Saturday. The regional rankings determine which teams head to the playoffs, and only the top six go.
