INGLESIDE - A man threatening suicide at Live Oak Park in Ingleside this morning caused the lockdown of the primary school not too far from the area.
According to police, a woman called 911 to report her husband texting her claiming he had several firearms and was headed to the wooded area.
Police called for assistance from other agencies as they surrounded the park in an attempt to get the man in custody.
After three hours, the unidentified man was located. He underwent a mental evaluation and is charged with making terroristic threats and will be taken to the San Patricio County Jail.
Police did not say whether the suspect was armed.
