CORPUS CHRISTI- The combination of increasing tropical moisture from the Gulf and Pacific oceans, a moderately strong cold front, and an upper level disturbance will combine to produce the most significant rain of the year so far in the Coastal Bend this weekend. Unfortunately the weather this weekend will be far less than desirable for area beachgoers. Saturday will be the best day of the weekend for outdoor activities but a major drop off from the beautiful weather the last couple of days. Sunshine will return along with beautiful weather Tuesday afternoon through Thursday of next week. Here is the detailed forecast.
Saturday expect lots of clouds with only isolated showers breezy humid and seasonal with a high of 72.
Saturday night expect showers and a few thunderstorms likely especially from midnight to 7am with locally heavy rain of 1" to 2" possible and turning windy and colder with a low of 48.
Sunday starts out wet and much colder with wind chills in the upper 30's and light rain likely on and off throughout the day and an afternoon high of only 49.
Occasional showers will gradually end on Monday with decreasing winds and a high of only 59.
Stay Tuned and stay dry.
