CORPUS CHRISTI - A woman's new boyfriend tells police last night's stabbing at a bar was just the latest run-in he's had with his girl's estranged husband.
The 30-year-old victim said he was inside the bar at Weber and Saratoga when Benny Sarmiento Jr., 34, came up and slashed him across the arm.
Even though the victim was wearing a pretty thick jacket, he still suffered a cut to his arm.
Police later tracked down Sarmiento to a house on Navarro Street. He's charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Investigators believe they have the weapon used in the stabbing.
