Hurricane Ingrid Expected To Make Landfall Monday in Mexico

Hurricane Ingrid is moving west-northwest at 6 mph toward Mexico and should make landfall Monday morning near Tampico. Coastal Flood Warning in effect until noon Tuesday.

2 to 2 1/2 feet above normal sea level around high tides. Next high tides are at 2:49AM and 11:20AM Monday. Expect water up to dunes, covering the beaches on Padre and Mustang Island. Water also is up to the sidewalk and on some streets on North Beach.

Ingrid will be moving into Mexico near Tampico on Monday. A windy wind for the Coastal Bend out of the east 20-30mph.

Scattered tropical showers this week. That will deliver 2-4 inches of rain spread in the Coastal Bend with some areas receiving more than that this week. Only minor, short term street floods are expected.

Temperatures will be kept out of the 90s because of all the clouds and rain this week. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms stay with us this week from what's left of Hurricane Ingrid.
