CORPUS CHRISTI - The last stop on our two-a-day tour takes us to a new addition to high school football in the Coastal Bend. London High School. 2012 will be the Pirates inaugural season of varsity football.
"I'm pretty excited," lineman Tristan Gonzales said. "We have a pretty good team. I think we'll do good this year."
London is not yet in a district, so the team will play an independent schedule.
"I think it's really exciting," lineman Jerrick Richard. "Right now I have butterflies just thinking how the first game is going to play out."
The roster is filled with freshman and sophomores. They're a brand new team, looking to start a new tradition.
"Our coach put the expectations pretty high," quarterback Jake Voss said. "I think we all achieve those high expectations, and I think we put 110 percent on the field."
