BISHOP - Bishop struggled in 2011, with a tiny turnout, coupled by a winless season, but 2012 is already off to a much better beginning as Head Coach George Luna has twice as many kids this year.
"It was tough waiting to get that win and then it not coming last year, it was real tough," said Quarterback Dillan Gonzales.
"It's gonna motivate us to come out here and keep working hard," said Strong Safety Jamin Lira.
The Badgers will be a part of a brutal 16-2A-D1 league with Mathis and Aransas Pass each dropping down from 3A.
"People don't think anything from us they think we are another team they can walk over and we're not gonna let that happen this year," said Safety Victor Vera.
17-starters do return including Vera, who was an All-District Selection in 2011.
"We gotta work hard for our new victories this year I am sure we are gonna win some," said Guard Jacob Reyes.
