HS Basketball: 4 Area Teams in Final Girls Rankings; 3 Boys Teams This Week

CORPUS CHRISTI - Seven area teams find themselves in this week's Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Rankings. It is the final week of rankings for the girls teams, who tip off the playoffs Monday night. In class 3A, West Oso finishes the season right about where it started in the pre-season rankings - at #11. Same scenario for Aransas Pass, who is ranked 22nd in the Class 2A poll. The Taft Lady Greyhounds finish the season at 24 in the 2A ranks, after starting the season un-ranked. Port Aransas has remained in Class 1A's top-10 for most of the season, and they finish at 9th.
On the boys side - there is one more week of regular season play, and therefore another set of rankings after this week. In this week's poll there are three area teams. Aransas Pass is 11th in the 2A ranks, while Skidmore-Tynan is 22nd. Port Aransas remains one of the top-ranked teams in Class 1A at 4th.
