CORPUS CHRISTI -- Police bombarded a suspected drug dealer's home with a rude awakening early this morning. Officers say this raid is the first of many.
"We found a quantity of crack cocaine," officers said.
Officers say crack and marijuana were found inside a home on Peabody Avenue. Investigators put the drugs on top of the car while they search the vehicles. Police say this investigation stemmed from numerous complaints.
"We take complaints that come from the citizens very seriously," police said.
Those concerns of suspicious activity in this neighborhood led police to this home where they broke windows to execute a search warrant.
"This was a location where they were dealing crack out of the house," officers said.
The raid ended with Evaristo Coleman, 24, in cuffs. Coleman tried to cover his face when police put him in the patrol car.
Officials say they will not tolerate drugs in the city, they say this is far from the last warrant they plan to serve.
"We'll continue to target various locations and serve warrants to individuals selling dope. So, if you're selling dope don't be surprised if we come knocking on your door," Investigators said.
Officers say they are still investigating and Coleman could face additional charges.
