CORPUS CHRISTI - Outdoor Labor Day activities will be highlighted with blazing sunshine today. Sunny skies with highs near 100. The heat index will peak at 107 this afternoon and that is a sure sign you don't want to overdo any strenuous activity. Wind along the bays will start light and peak at SE 15 -20 by this afternoon as the sea breeze pick up during the afternoon.
By middle of the week we are tracking another easterly wave that should make it to the Texas coast with a surge of tropical showers. Let's hope it is as productive as the last wave.
Highs remain in the upper 90's for most of the week. These highs are on average 5 degrees above our season normal.
