Hostility and Foul Language Result in Arrest at Bank

CORPUS CHRISTI - A very hostile and foul-mouthed man caused a scene at a Wells Fargo Bank branch in Calallen. According to police, 41-year-old Mark Verastiqui was cursing extensively in front of customers and children. He refused to leave the bank.

Police got him into the back of a patrol car, but he started head butting the cage in the back seat. He reportedly started spitting blood, cursing at police officers, and threatening to kill bank employees and police officers.

Verastiqui refused medical attention offered by the Corpus Christi Fire Department while enroute to a hospital for treatment. According to police, he continued insulting everyone he came in contact with at the hospital.

Police decided just to take him to jail for making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.
