CORPUS CHRISTI - Nine games under .500, the second half of the season didn't exactly go as planned for the Hooks, who have lost four of their last five games. The missions will help the team close out the season Monday night.
Last night's 6 to 3 loss hurt the Hooks a bit. It eliminated any hope of the Hooks winning their first series over the Missions and they've been playing those guys for five years.
All time San Antonio is 79 and 60 versus Corpus Christi and it's about the ending people would expect for a team whose has more losses than wins.
However, Manager Luis Pujols still remains optimistic about how the season played out.
"I believe we did, if you look at the winning record you'd probably say it's a disappointing year, but the way we look at is we have sent a bunch of players from this club to Triple A. This is my second year here and we sent a guy directly to the big league club, and that was Wilton Lopez, but we are overall happy with the way the team went about their business," Pujols said.
