CORPUS CHRISTI- A Corpus Christi man is raising a stink over a mess he blames on a wastewater crew.
Jose Vera says the crew was working on some lines on Mannsheim when sewage suddenly backed up into his home on Cheryl Drive.
Vera says huge geysers of sewage began spewing out of his two bathrooms.
His home of 38 years was flooded with stinking water and sewage. Vera contacted the work crew but they told him to call city hall.
Vera was able to get ahold of a waste water supervisor who came over to his home.
The waste water official took pictures of the mess and told Vera that the mess was indeed the city's fault. Last night, Vera is upset that the city didn't clean up the mess in his home.
The home has since been cleaned up and Mr. Vera expects an adjuster from the city to come out and look over the damage.
Vera was concerned for the health of his elderly mother in law who lives with him and suffers from pneumonia and Alzheimers.
