CINCINNATI (WLWT) - Cincinnati police say two homeless men came to the aid of a man who was attacked downtown.

The victim was walking near the corner of Vine Street and Central Parkway when another man attacked him and tried to rob him.
Two homeless men who witnessed the attack fought off the assailant, who then fled.
The victim, who was described as a businessman, had just withdrawn money from an ATM.
"Too often we are incorrectly taught to be afraid of people experiencing homelessness," said Josh Spring, executive director of Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless. "Hopefully the heroic actions of these three people will help to undue our negative stereotypes."
