Holmes Drive Explosion Victim Out of Burn Unit

CORPUS CHRISTI - The younger man injured in that home explosion on Holmes Drive is getting out of San Antonio burn unit today. Ryan Conner, 25, suffered severe burns, several broken bones and a suspected head injury in the blast that killed Robert Farley a couple weeks ago.

Fire investigators spoke briefly with Conner about what happened that day. The blast leveled Conner and Farley's home. Two homes on either side were destroyed by fire.

A natural gas leak is the likely cause, but fire officials are having a difficult time nailing down the source. The amount of gas required for the explosion heard across town would have been noticeable by anyone in or near the house.

Farley died from his injuries while undergoing treatment in San Antonio. Family members say previous health issues led to complications.
