AURORA, CO -- The accused Colorado theater shooter is scheduled to appear in court today.
Prosecutors are expected to announce whether they will seek the death penalty against James Holmes.
Last week, Holmes' attorneys offered a deal for Holmes to plead guilty in exchange for prosecutors to drop the death penalty, but prosecutors rejected the offer.
Holmes is accused of killing 12 people and injuring 58 last July when he opened fire during a midnight screening of the "The Dark Knight rises" at an Aurora movie theater.
