CORPUS CHRISTI - With Black Friday creeping into Thursday evening, the city's "coupon clipping queen" is staying in for the sales this year.
"It's Black Thursday, almost," Julie Shuttlesworth says. " I've got a house full of guests coming on Thursday, so we're not going to do shopping on Thursday."
And that's not the only reason. She says with stores competing for the customers with earlier and earlier sales, there have been savings all week long.
Many of them, even available online.
"You can do all of your full shopping from the comfort of your computer screen with your pajamas on," she explains.
So, are there still deals worth leaving your dinner for?
"I think there still is especially if you're going for the tech items."
If you go, Shuttlesworth says you should definitely plan ahead.
"If you're just going out the morning of and hoping to get lucky, you're not going to do very well. You've got to plan ahead of time. Budget your time as far as which stores open when."
You can find all the deals online now on blackfriday.com.
And for those really big savings, be prepared to miss out if you don't spend your Thanksgiving Day waiting in line.
"Be prepared that some of these stores have 5-6 items of whatever the big item is. And if you're not 5 or 6 in line, it may not be there when you get there."
