Hit & Run Victim Taken To San Antonio For Treatment

CORPUS CHRISTI - A man involved in a hit and run accident that seriously injured a motorcycle rider is now in jail.

Police say 52-year-old Jose Antunez was arrested Wednesday morning for the accident that happened about a month ago.

Today, a neighbor told us that 30-year-old John Michael Gavit was taken the V.A. clinic in San Antonio to receive skin grafts on his leg.

That after he was hit by a Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of Staples Street and Texan Trail.

The driver of the Jeep took off leaving the victim at the scene with a broken leg and severe road rash.
