CORPUS CHRISTI - Eric Baugher, 21, of Corpus Christi was charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of synthetic marijuana after police say he committed a hit and run crash on Interstate 37 last night.

Investigators say Baugher's Saturn Vue struck a Nissan Versa around 8:15 p.m. on the entrance ramp to the interstate. The female driver and her passenger were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the crash.

Police were able to track down Baugher based on the front bumper and license plate left behind by the impact of the two vehicles. He was arrested at a home in the 14900 block of Trinity Drive roughly two hours later.
