Hit & Run Suspect Arrested

CORPUS CHRISTI - A man involved in a hit and run accident that seriously injured a motorcycle rider is now in jail.

Police say 52-year-old Jose Antunez was arrested Wednesday morning for the accident that happened about a month ago.

A 30-year-old man was hit by a Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of Staples Street and Texan Trail.

The driver of the Jeep took off leaving the victim at the scene with a broken leg.

Police found part of a serial number on a piece of debris from the jeep and they were able to track down the vehicle and its owner.
