FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) - First details of a sex crimes and other charges against an Army general are expected from a hearing on the evidence in the case.
The military judicial hearing scheduled today for Brig. Gen. Jeffery Sinclair will be at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
The Army has kept details secret so far in the rare criminal case against a high-ranking officer. That is different from other high-profile case where Army prosecutors were quick to release charging documents.
The general was deputy commander in charge of logistics and support for the 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan before being abruptly relieved.
Sinclair is charged with crimes that include forcible sodomy, wrongful sexual conduct, engaging in inappropriate relationships, misusing a government travel charge card, and possessing pornography and alcohol while deployed.
