Health Inspector Gives Thumbs Up to Natatorium Pools

CORPUS CHRISTI - Some swimming pools are reopened at the natatorium this morning after they were unexpectedly yesterday during an inspection.

Officials shut down the lap and dive pools after finding low levels of chlorine and bromine. That could be a danger to the public.

Those chemicals are needed to kill bacteria that people bring into the pool. They also found the pump that filters both pools wasn't working and was missing a part.

The facility had a technician manually monitor the chemical levels within the two pools all Wednesday afternoon. The inspector gave a thumbs up in a follow-up check today.
