Head Start Helping Low Income Families

CORPUS CHRISTI - Head Start is a comprehensive program designed to foster the healthy development of three, four, and five year-old children from low-income families.

According to Bob Vela with the Nueces County Community Action Agency, there are currently 21 Head Start Centers in the Corpus Christi area.

To contact the Early Head Start Program (for pregnant women or those with children 6 weeks to 3 years) call 361-654-7915.

To contact the Head Start Preschool Program (for children ages 3-5 years) call 361-880-4141 ext. 1.
