CORPUS CHRISTI - The Hammerheads have gone from being unknown to one of the most popular teams in the IFL.
Currently sitting in third in the Lone Star Division, the red-and-blue's mid-season rally has them closing in on a playoff spot.
However, Abilene will be a test this Saturday in Robstown. The Roughriders are 6-5 on the year and a game in front of Corpus Christi.
Even so, the Hammerheads are more than confident that will all change this weekend.
"No secrets, man, they are a real good team. They beat us here, then we went out there and beat them. It's made up to be a good game, we respect them and I know they respect us. But I am pretty sure we can get this win so we are going to go out there and do just that," linebacker Stephen Fillmore said.
"They won by like two or three points last time, but we have a for sure win this time. We have been watching a lot of film and we have studied all their moves," defensive lineman Eli Abraham said.
