CORPUS CHRISTI - The IFL has banned Hammerheads lineman Eli Ibrahim for life, after he punched an official during Saturday's game against Abilene.

Ibrahim, number 77, was ejected during the first half of the game after getting dinged with a pair of personal fouls.

He came back on the field much later, still in full uniform and laid out official Joel Hilliard. He was arrested immediately and Hilliard is pressing assault charges. Hilliard told KRIS 6 News he feels sorry that it had to come to this.
