Ham Fest 2012

CORPUS CHRISTI -- It's that time of year again.
The 14th Annual Coastal Bend Ham Fest was today at First Presbyterian Church.
It's a festival held and sponsored by local Ham -- or amateur -- radio operators.
The Ham operators at the event today are also trained to provide emergency radio communications during natural disasters.
It's a system that really came in handy after power went out during Hurricane Katrina.
