CORPUS CHRISTI - Witnesses say a gust of wind caused a major accident on FM 43 near County Road 51 today. The driver of a white truck said the wind pushed a Jeep Cherokee, driving ahead of him, across the road. The driver apparently tried to gain control and over corrected causing the Jeep to flip several times.
One witness said when the Jeep crashed other drivers slammed on their brakes causing him to swerve and run into a pole. The driver of the Jeep went to the hospital with minor injuries. Everyone else was OK.
