CORPUS CHRISTI - Three great horned owls were released back into the wild this afternoon in Corpus Christi. All three of the birds were found earlier this year after they fell out of nests.
They underwent rehabilitation at the Texas State Aquarium, allowing them to to be released at the Hans and Pat Suter Wildlife Refuge along Ennis Joslin.
During their rehab, the young owls were placed in an outdoor flight enclosure where they were conditioned for flight and learned to hunt live prey.
