Gravel Truck Crash Closes Southbound Harbor Bridge Lanes

CORPUS CHRISTI - At least 2 southbound lanes of the Harbor Bridge remain closed at a gravel truck and the load are blocking traffic.

There's also a heavily damaged car at the scene. Emergency crews had to go up the northbound side of the Harbor Bridge in order to get to the crash site.

The driver of the truck was unable to avoid a small car stalled in the right hand lane. The truck flipped right after slamming into the back of the car.

The woman in the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Her passengers were not injured. The driver of the truck managed to get out of the wreck on his own.

If you are heading to Corpus Christi from Portland, use the Joe Fulton Corridor access on North Beach to take the trip up to I-37 near Carbon Plant Road.
