PORTLAND - Gregory-Portland distance runner Kylie Conaway made her college dreams come true on Thursday afternoon signing to run right down the road at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
She told us that she had come along ways in her high school career.
"Well my freshman year I was kind of chubby and not very good. So I busted my butt working hard, and going after my dreams knowing I can accomplish anything I wanted with hard work," she said.
Conaway is a two-year letter winner and a state qualifier in 2012. At the State Meet she finished 72nd.
She now joins Shawn Flanagan's stellar program, who has been a regular in the Region Rankings for the last few years.
