CORPUS CHRISTI - The Spohn Shoreline security office may have fallen victim to prankster Spring Breakers early Monday morning.
Three of their golf carts were found in and around the Corpus Christi Bay near Cole Park. One was in the water near the skate park, another was in the sand near the pier, and the other was in the water at Oleander Point.
"These carts are commonly used by there security personnel to patrol the grounds there in the hospital," said Patrol Lt. Curtis Abbott.
Police say the security office at Spohn Shoreline reported them missing at around 2 a.m.
Officers say it looks like whoever stole the carts took them for a joyride. There were tire tracks all over Cole Park that looked like they belongs to the golf carts.
Police and Spohn security say they are reviewing security cameras to try and find out who took the golf carts. Spohn officials say the two carts that were under water are ruined. They say that's about an $8,000 loss.
If you know who stole the golf carts or saw anything Monday morning call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS.
