Girls Arrested, Parents Investigated for Fight Video

ALICE - A disturbing video posted on Facebook is now the focus of an investigation by the Alice Police Department. The four minute long video shared with us by the Alice Echo News shows two girls fighting as parents and friends stand around and watch.

This fight was recorded earlier this week and posted by a young girl. Some of the spectators can even be heard encouraging the girls to keep fighting.

At one point, the mother of one of the girls separates them, but only so her daughter could fix her hair. The video ends when someone yells that the police have arrived. Everyone then runs away.

The Alice Echo News showed the video to police chief Randy Weems. Investigators were able to identify and arrest the 15 and 17 year old girls seen fighting in the video.

The adults who stood by and watched the fight have also been identified. That group included parents and grandparents of the girls. Charges against them are pending.
