CORPUS CHRISTI - The Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas are preparing for another season of Girl Scout cookie sales. The scouts are rolling out a new kind of cookie on January 11th called the Cranberry Citrus Crisps, which we're told is great with a cup of coffee.
Each year, the girls sell $4 boxes to loyal Girl Scout cookie fans. They collect 70 cents in profit from each box, which they use in any way they like. Normally, the girls choose to get involved in the community and use the proceeds to fund projects of outreach.
According to The Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas, a large number of women astronauts are former Girl Scouts. Additionally, a large number of female business owners in the United States are former Girl Scouts. For more information about the program, visit www.gsgst.org.
