Girl Hit Trying to Cross Horne Road

Girl Hit Along Horne Road

CORPUS CHRISTI - A young girl was taken to a hospital this afternoon after she was hit by an SUV as she crossed Horne Road near Greenwood.

She was with two friends and they all decided to cross the street over to the LULAC Apartments. While the two other girls walked behind the SUV, the girl hit tried to walk ahead of the large vehicle.

She suffered some bumps and bruises. Police don't plan to ticket the driver involved.
