CORPUS CHRISTI - Today has brought a change in the Corpus Christi broadcasting landscape. The local ABC affiliate, KIII, is one of six Texas television stations being sold to the Gannett Broadcasting Group.
The current ownership company, London Broadcasting, will receive $215 million in an all cash deal. The sale is expected to be approved and finalized this summer.
Gannett currently owns 40 television stations nationwide as a result of the 2013 purchase of Belo. The company also owns several publishing outlets, including USA Today.
